Wish I Had Known About National Poetry Month

By: TruImage

So today I just found out that the month of April is National Poetry Month. How did I find out you might ask? Social Media!

This April marks the 20th anniversary of National Poetry Month, which was started in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets. On the Academy of American Poets site, you can find a list of 30 ways to celebrate National Poetry Month. To celebrate National Poetry Month, Ikohaus has launched a live spoken word event. This event will be held Saturday, April 9 at 12 pm EST/ 9pm PST.

We’re also looking for 10 poets to register for this event, read or recite their poems, and share it on our platform. Registration is open on Ikohaus’ shop for only $5 plus a $0.38 tax fee. All registered poets are encouraged to invite their family and friends to Saturday’s event. To register for our National Poetry Month event, click here

If you’re not a poet and would like to tune in, we invite you to attend this live event. Ikohaus strongly believes that creativity is the new economy. What better way to kickstart National Poetry Month than with a live event!

At this event we will be accepting monetary donations so please consider leaving a tip for the network and poets. As a thank you, registered participants will receive a limited edition keepsake poster free! (shown below)
